We are learning to use different patterns to create an interesting piece of art. I did a cat for my calendar art. the cat is sticking its tongue out. it is a very colourful cat and its name is sadie its eyes are hunting for a bird

rugby World Cup

 I am learning to find Information and put it into my own words. I did a pic collage on Richie McCaw he plays for New Zealand in the rugby world cup.It took me a long time to get my pic collage just right and get the right information about Richie mcCaw. We could not copy it out a book or off an iPad we had to put it in our own words to share it with other people.

Art

Puti Puti

I have been learning to make a puti puti it was very very hard I needed lots of help to get it right ,it got a little bit easier at the end.You might think it is easy but it is very hard,you will get the hang of it very soon after a lot of practise. Putiputi means flower. You weave the putiputi with harakeke which means flax.

Rotation

I am learning to do rotation . Rotate means to turn. It is a challenge , but i try my hardest to do my best. It is an exploding flower and all the pretty pollen is bursting out and forming a ring around the colourful flower. I did 1 quarter turn . When you turn something it is the same shape and colour and moves around to the next quarter.
