Scratch Name Animation

1. I liked making the scripts for the letters.
2. I didn't like that the D kept shrinking really small and really big.
3.the part that was challenging was getting the letters to do what I wanted because the scripts kept deleting.
 4. I used my perseverance muscle and my capitalising muscle I used my perseverance when doing the scripts and I used my capitalising muscle to get the most out of my time. :)

Maths (a rich task )

Name of problem: holiday pocket money (rich task)

Describe the problem: we got $60 and a ¾  of it was spent on toys and then ⅓ was spent on lollies and then 2 pies for $2 each

These are the strategies and knowledge I used to solve the problem. (add more bullet points for each step) ¾ of 60 is 15.Dion helped us with that because he did it first ⅓  of 15 is ten also Dion helped us with this question too Then we got the answer as $6   Then at the end Mr Blakey came and helped us and checked that we got the answer of  $6

Describe how you used 2 learning muscles: Making Links muscle and collaboration muscle because we needed to collaborate to get the task done and I made a link with rich task because I spent some of my money in the holidays on a toy.

day 9

today we went to flip out I jumped on all of the trampolines my favorite trampolines was were the big ones after flip out went to a cafe for morning tea then we went to mirte ten to get something for the chairs then we went home to make dinner    

I have to skip the last few days of the holidays because they were so boring

My holiday day 7 and day 8

The next day we went to friend's house I sat and listened to the grown ups  we stayed there for ages and ages the I went on the trampoline and then back inside for a drink of water.

The next day we went for a bike ride to hamona we started at Clive and went along the cycle path along the sea front then we got to the big bride went crossed it was a bit scary there was the cars and the water when we got across the bridge  we went down another cycle path then we got hamona we went to the shops and got some hot chips and a ice cream then we set off again we crossed the bridge and went down the path way to Clive then we went straight home

My holiday day 6

The next day we sat around watching TV and playing and tiding and waited for mum to get back from work

On Sunday I jumped on the trampoline waiting to do some thing in the afternoon me and dad went on a bike ride we went up Copeland road and onto riversley road  and down another road and then followed the train track to the traffic lights then we road down the busy road and then ended up in the country then we went down a dead end road so then we went back down to tollemache road and a long there then we were back on park road and then on Copeland road where we lived

The next day we were going home we stopped at the mall to get mum some chocolate because she didn't come when we were at levin we stopped to get some fish and chips and a drink when we had the fish and chips we eat them when we got to the big mountain we drove down the old road we saw snow on the sides of the roads then we saw the manawatu gorge we drove passed it and came to wood vile we didn't stop there but we stopped at dannevirke to play in the snow that was in the park we threw snowballs at each other  and when I tried to run I fell in the snow when we got home we had to wait for mum

My holiday day 4

The next day was wet so we didn't do much we stayed home and played then we went to the mall and got sushi then when we were going to go home I asked if I could go on the massage chair when dad put the coin in the chair started it felt like it was killing me when I tried to get out the chair would not let go of me then we went home

The next day we went to see the parade we walked to the tawa train station we got on the train then we got to the train station in wellington then we walked to the beehive (the parliament building) and waited for the parade to start when it started we waved our flags with all the other people  the america's cup was so shiny to looked wet then they started to move we ran to another part I was within ten feet of the shiny cup after the parade we went to new world and got some sausages and chips then we went home

My holiday day 2

I just had to skip yesterday it was so boring Today we are going to wellington to see the america's cup parade which everyone said was New Zealand's cup.On the way there I looked out of the window we stopped to get something to eat at waipukurau then we went to new world in kapti then we drove on to wellington we arrived at my uncle peter and aunty sally's house only uncle peter and Philip were there.

My Holiday

Today the first thing I did was go to hockey against MKK they bet us easy I didn't really enjoy it because my throat was hurting but I got through it all right.¨Next thing I did was go home to bed and lie down for a bit and then played with my little brother Marcus¨My mum told us to put the bed sheets back on her bed so then we did it.

¨I was feeling sick so for the rest of my afternoon me and my brother lay on the bed watching TV¨.we were also watching dad break the little deck of concrete after what felt like hours of TV we went outside on the trampoline then to watch mum and dad.Then we went inside.

It is cold.

So cold.

that,

Birds freeze and fall out the sky,

Ants can't walk away with food ,

Cat's get icicles on their whiskers

It is so cold,

That hedgehogs have kept hibernating,

It is so frosty and wet,

Butterflies stop fluttering  

And

The cold cars refuse to start

It is so foggy and frosty,

The grass gets frostbite

As

The frozen families try to keep warm,

cars zoom down icy roads

And People gaze at icy fields

It's stormy and raining then it's silent and still.

It was dark outside a cold breeze filled the air I shuddered and shivered as I brushed my chattering teeth.SUDDENLY THE SHOWER TURNED ON. I DROPPED MY toothbrush I felt cold no not cold freezing. I didn't dare move a muscle. Help my body told me I wanted to run but I couldn't then the shower turned on cold. then I heard knock knock at that moment I knew I was done for. . . .a few minutes later Mrs hill came in to see what was going on.I thought my savior But I didn't say that.

Maori Hand games

Last week we were split into groups and went to Maori hand games for matariki there was two groups one had the knuckle bones and the other had the whai (the string).Firstly I was doing the knuckle bones we did ticks they were really hard I couldn't do them.The first trick was to throw the knuckle bone in the air and pick up another it was really hard. Next we had to throw one knuckle bone in the air clap and catch the one in the air.

Then we swapped groups I was in the group were we did the string or whai it was like doing cat's cradles I learnt how to do the jellyfish I did it over and over again then I did the waka it was easy after that we did some more hand games we would get our fists and thumbs and played a game the words were e hipitoitoi and you had two move your thumbs up and down and if you did the same move as your opponent you say hipitoitoi ra and then there was a one where you had two move your arms and say hei tama tu tama and you say the same thing tu tama ra and win then we had a competition some kids went up and vs each other and whoever won out of the two groups faced each other then one kid faced the teacher lucky he was man it was really fun and hard I had lots of fun my favorite was doing the whai (string) and learning how to do some new things with the whai.

Sailing on a boat in the water what could be better. I really want to sail but I cant I don't have a boat. But if I could I would sail every day with Christina we would sail all the way around the world. Dinner would be cooked on a cooker in a boat waves would hit the side of a boat. Every night we would snuggle into our sleeping bags all cozy in small spaces where we had to sleep. The ship's cat  prowls around the boat.And the boat would flow with the waves. We could fall down with no sea legs.And we were sea sick over the bow. Then the boat hits an island we get out and give the island a name wild cat island we call it .Christina gets us some spades we start to dig looking for treasure it starts to get dark we made a tent and crawl in and go to sleep.We wake early and start digging  suddenly the spade hits something its treasure!!we load it into the boat.Christina makes lunch then we get ready to sail since we spotted another ship heading towards the island the pirates were coming to kill us all I shouted even though there was only me and Christina on the island were going to sail home at night but the ship was after us we panicked then we saw Nixie island Christina sailed our ship or boat round the island to hide we saw the big mast with all its sails blowing in the wind the ships cat meowed and went under the deck into the galley where there was food we set sail for home cause the ship lost us we arrived home 3 days later  both of our mums were waiting looking red in the face our dads looked calm because we told them we were going to sea.WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!! shouted my mum you could of been killed relax mum I said  the dads knew well they never told us said Christina's mum giving the dads a mean look the dads went as red as red could be with embarrassment  well you done it now said the mums never mind I said

My family was packing for Taupo .I turned on the TV. There was a warning not to travel then a big gust of wind blew ….CRACK! A huge branch fell onto the washing line.The cat flap sounded and two cats sprinted through our house.The rain pelted down onto the roof of our house and the wind made the chimney roar I listened.Bang there was a noise of thunder.It sounded like the earth was cracking we phoned our grandmother to tell her that we couldn't go to hers until the next day.I wondered how my dad was doing at night shift That night I slept in mum and dad's bed because I was scared.

national aquarium of New Zealand

A magical place full of fish and life as I walk around I feel the life. I gaze at the fish swimming around me I wish I could swim with them the seaweed waving all around me suddenly a stingray jumps out of the darkness and into the light I gaze at it wondering as  I move on when I entered the . I could see all the fish and sharks the stingrays that swim around in such a magical place.It is  like stepping into a new world of mysteries and life. Outside no life shines from it but inside It's a different world full of fish as I watched a penguin eat a fish that a man feed the penguin when I saw the sea horse’s and lobsters and the giant octopus I thought how much I loved the aquarium I saw a shark smiling  showing all its sharp teeth the fishes in the fish tanks I loved it but when we came to the  end at the gift shop I wanted it to start all over again.I also love the Auckland aquarium it's really good when I look out the window I can see the sea and all the fish. Step Six Build your creation	This is our first aid kit that we made and it is made out of raincoat material and sewed the sides then taped it to make  it stronger. And we wrote first aid kit on it so people know that it is not a fancy going out hang-bag!
Step Seven Reflection	Not very good because Christina and I were worried that we couldn`t do the hole punch The sewing and making the things to go in it. Measuring the 20cm rain coat and cutting it
Step Eight Evaluate
Feedback - ask some other children what they thought?	Hanna=really awesome sadie and christina. sam=really cool how you made it waterproof. Caitlin=I love how you made the first aid kit waterproof.

THE GHOST CAT

I see...big black eyes with a ghostly face with green fur that was like velvet and the tail of the spooky green ghost cat .

I Feel... whiskers brushing  up against the my cheeks  followed by a lick of a rough tongue

I smell ...hot cat food breath and moldy blood  

I hear...meowing and yowling and faint prrrrrrrrring comes in all directions

I tast … rock and grit with a cat food tast

I think...something is going to jump up on me.
